When you think of a burst pipe in your home, you think of a large amount of water flooding in. However, burst pipes can be sneaky and hide behind other minor issues. Here is a list of things in your home that can mean you have a hidden burst pipe.
Changing Water Pressure:
When you turn on your faucet, is your water pressure going from barely a trickle to a monsoon?
The odds are that you have a leaky pipe hiding somewhere. If the faucet or shower head consistently only produces a trickle, there is probably a larger amount of water leaking out elsewhere.

Unusual Sounds in Your Walls:
If you hear clanging or dripping noises coming from your walls, especially if you also notice water
pressure changes, this signifies a burst pipe in your home. You may also be able to follow the dripping sounds to a damp or discolored spot on the wall or pooling water on the floor.

High Water Bills
If you notice your water bill is much higher than average, there is likely a leak somewhere in your pipes causing it.

Water and Mold Damage
If the leak is new, you may notice some water damage, such as water stains on the walls. If the leak
has been there for a while, you will notice mold growth
where the water has spread.
